I've got a couple of doubts about this article, maybe someone could help me. The first is: why the rescues are performed only with pufferfish nogging mRNA and not also with follistatin or chordin mRNAs?

And the second doubt is about this picture: 

Do you think that the embryo represented in the red square corresponds to a real rescue? According to me it shows some significant morphological anomalies compared to the wildtype...
