This section concerns a general introduction to the subjects of this course. Assessment of Students' background in this specific subject is planned.

In this section, we will discuss the overall organization of cell nucleus, the organization of chromosomes in interphase, the localization of substructures that are functional to gene expression and the functional states of chromatin.
